Compare and Contrast

Military fitness

This morning Room 10,  Room 8, Mrs Raj and Mrs Pome’e  went down to the courts to do a military style fitness.

Room 8 did some warm ups to get the whole class stretched and ready.  Room 10 students went inside the circle and showed us exercise to follow.

Last we bunched up, sang our chanting and jogged  around the whole courts then we went back to class.

Today Room 10 went to the hall to do Kiwi Sports.

The first thing that we did was play a game called sea,shore and shark.

When we played sea,shore and shark what we had to do was Antonia called one of the three things. When Antonia calls shark we have to run to the place that she tells us to run.

Next we did some passing for the day. We had to do 4 types of passes. The first pass was the chest pass. Next was bounce, then over head and finally the last one was shoulder pass.

When we finished we went back to class to write a recount about our netball lesson.

I enjoyed playing netball because netball is a lot fun to play.

Charlie and his friends

I learnt about this dog called Charlie. Charlie is a Lowchen dog and he is from Germany. This dog is very sporty and very fast.I enjoyed learning about Charlie because this dog is very interesting. 

Geometrical shapes

Today room 10 went out to our school netball courts to do fitness. Mrs. Raj told room 10 to split up into 2 groups. In our groups we had to make geometrical shapes with our bodies.

The first group had to make the shapes of a square, circle and a diamond. We all  worked together to make the shape and to get it right.

Next the second group had to make the shapes of a triangle and a rectangle.  Lastly both groups made the shapes of a trapezium and an oval.

Finally we did  10 star jumps, 10 pushups, 10 step ups and jumped up and touched our toes 10 times.Then we shared our facts about the shapes with Mrs Raj. We ran around the netball courts two times before going back to class. I enjoyed our fitness because we did some learning about geometrical shapes as well.

Shapes

Today I have been teached by one of the media team students.I had to insert a shape to make my table make it look so special.Then I had to colour and name the shape etc.Even name how many sides does it have and the points.
