Life Education Caravan

This week, room ten had life education with Miss Nicole. Tuesday, as soon as we walked inside her caravan, we sat down and we waited for Nicole to speak and introduce herself.  After that, we talked about our feelings and our well being, we then watched a short clip about puberty and growing up.

On Wednesday morning, we talked about our body and how we grow, Thursday was our last day and we discussed about when puberty begins and when it stops. I felt amazed on what Miss Nicole knows, she was pretty smart and I will thank her for the knowledge about on how our body changes.

Science Intensive with Mrs. Tofa! (How to make things glow in the dark)

Yesterday, room ten went to room seven for science Intensive. We firstly got welcomed in the classroom by Mrs. Tofa, and then we sat on the mat with our netbooks in our houses. Soon after that, Mrs. Tofa explained what our activities were, it was glow in the dark. I was so excited!! Glow in the dark is one of my favourite things to do, I just couldn’t wait. After morning tea, we started to make glow in the dark.

We firstly got materials from Mrs.Tofa and started making glow in the dark. She gave us clear plastic cups to fill in some water, and then we got some highlighters Ink to put inside the water. Not long after that, we went inside a dark room to actually discover if our experiment worked. I was so happy to see it work, that was one of the best experiment I did. It was the most surprising experience ever! I hope I can do it again in my own time.

The Three States of Matter?

Today we have been learning about the three states of matter (solid, liquid and gas) and the changes of matter. In this experiment we first melted the chocolate and then took it out of the microwave after 1 minute. We took some baking paper and then took some chocolate, made a shape and after making a shape Miss Stone took it away and then let it be a Solid so we can eat it!
